Who Are We?

Where we started

Our Co-founders started the organization in 2019 and actually had most of their meetings in their Chemistry Class. They originally wanted to supply thermal socks for the homeless population so that they could keep warm in the winters, and fundraise money through word of mouth marketing and social media engagement. Ever since the birth of this original idea, we’ve spent over 3 years as an organization putting together detailed plans and executing on them so that we could both grow our presence and better serve the homeless population.

What we do now

The Covid-19 pandemic reminded the world of the importance of hygiene. Unfortunately, while many of us could take the necessary precautions to keep us safe, the homeless didn’t have access to this basic human right. Ever since then, we’ve made solving hygiene issues for the homeless our mission. We actively fundraise on weekends, then use the funds that we’ve raised to put together backpack hygiene kits appropriate to the season, and distribute those kits through various means (in-person distribution in the city + working with local shelters).

What we’ve achieved

• Raised over $10,000 from local communities through door-to-door fundraising.

• Growing team with over 17 current members.

• Provided over 240 of our signature backpack hygiene kits to 3 homeless shelters in the NYC / Metro NJ Area as well as the individuals we’ve met on our trips.

• On track to create + distribute 400 backpack hygiene kits by 2023 EOY.

• Through the stories of the homeless, we learned how we can better their situation.

• Created a Social Media presence to document our growth and share the amazing stories of the amazing individuals we meet.

• Expand our team to other nearby towns to increase our local presence and scale our organization.
